What is the Lady Health Visitor (LHV) program?

The Lady Health Visitor (LHV) program at Shah Rukn E Alam College is a diploma program designed to provide female students with knowledge and practical training in maternal, child, and community health.

Applicants must be female and meet one of the following requirements: FSc (Pre-Medical) with a minimum of 45% marks, including Physics, Chemistry and Biology, or Matric Science with a minimum of 45% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. The age limit is 14–35 years.

The LHV course includes subjects and units covering Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Materia Medica & Therapeutics, First Aid, Fundamentals of Nursing, Physics & Chemistry, Public Health, Primary Health Care, Maternal and Child Health Services, Family Planning, Food and Nutrition, Child Survival, Epidemiology, Health Education, School Health Services, and other public health-related areas.

The LHV program prepares female healthcare professionals to contribute to maternal and child health, family healthcare, community health, health education, and public health services. The profession emphasizes compassionate, ethical, and professional healthcare support.

Eligible candidates should complete the prescribed application form and submit it along with the required documents. These include passport-size photographs, original SSC and HSSC certificates and marks sheets, domicile, and ID card or B-Form.
